March of Dimes Keys to a Healthy Pregnancy

The March of Dimes and life'sDHA are dedicated to improving the health of expecting mothers and their babies through good nutrition.

The March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The March of Dimes carries out this mission through programs of research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects and low birth weight.

March of Dimes DHA Recommendation:

The March of Dimes recommends pregnant women get 200 mg of the fatty acid DHA every day to support fetal brain development. After the baby is born, DHA consumed through breastfeeding may also help the baby’s eyes and vision.

life'sDHA is proud to support this effort and work with the March of Dimes to help educate parents about the importance of good nutrition for mom and baby.
