Research published in the journal Investigative Ophthalmology & Visual Science showed that frequent vigorous exercise may help to reduce the prevalence of AMD in women.
Tip 2 – What’s good for your heart and brain is good for your eyes – especially when it comes to nutrition. The connections aren’t too surprising – your eyes rely on tiny arteries for oxygen and nutrients just like your brain does, and your heart relies on much larger arteries. Keeping all those arteries healthy will help your vision throughout life. Make sure your diet includes a mix of vitamins and eye-healthy nutrients, including lutein, zeaxanthin, DHA and EPA omega-3s and the vitamins A, C and E. You can find these nutrients in a variety of foods, beverages and dietary supplements.
